Our Family
Howard and Rebecka Alverson have been married since April of 1998 and have four children Thomas, Emily, Hannah and Andreah.
Thomas their son and oldest is married to a missionaries daughter and they are both active in their home church
Their oldest 2 daughters Emily & Hannah have graduated from high school, They are currently enrolled in an online Bible college and will be returning to Scotland with them while praying and waiting for God's will in their life. Their youngest daughter Andreah will also be returning to Scotland and finishing her home schooling. All three daughters will be helping to reach the Scottish people for Christ and are excited about doing so.
Our Faith
The Scriptures of the old and new testament are verbally inspired of God. They are supreme, the final authority for faith and practice and are preserved in the Authorized King James Version for the English speaking people.
There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is supreme in His person, absolute in His attributes, glorious in His perfection and eternal in His being.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His conception by the Holy Spirit, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin and His personal, imminent, pre-millennial and pre-tribulation return.
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, one with the Father and the Son. He is the Indweller of every believer to enlighten, guide and enable him in life, testimony and service, and to seal each believer until the day of redemption
of the body.
The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitute sacrifice, was buried and rose again from the dead in His glorified body, ascended into heaven, and as our great high priest and advocate He ever lives to make intercession for us. All who believe on His name are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and receive the gift of eternal life by the grace of God.
Nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner but his own voluntary rejection of the gospel.
There is a literal, burning hell that God prepared for the devil and his angels. It is the place of everlasting conscious punishment and separation of the unbelieving lost.
There is a literal place called heaven where the saved shall enjoy everlasting blessedness,
Our Focus
God has called us to the country of Scotland our burden and goal is to go to a country that once sent missionaries around the world but now is in desperate need to hear the gospel.
Our Vision is to help continue outreach in Dundee and help the church their in continued growth. Our greater vision is to reach out in a 20-mile radius of Dundee and move forward with church planting within this radius. The the first of which will be in the city of Forfar (14,000+ souls and no gospel witness) where God has already given us a building.
This 20-mile radius of responsibility will allow us to work in many cities, towns and small villages. This reflects over 500,000 souls and NO Independent Baptist Churches! Most of these places have had little to no gospel literature or preaching.
Our plans are to break up the many years of fallow
ground through street preaching, letterboxing and city wide campaigns.
With the goal of
Wining the lost, through personal soul-winning and evangelistic teaching and preaching.
Discipling new believer's through teaching them the truth's of God's Word.
Training men and women, through Biblical leadership principles, to serve God with their life.
